First Baptist Georgetown Children’s Weekday Education is a Christian preschool offering your child enriching experiences that will help him or her to grow spiritually, emotionally, physically and cognitively. We provide your child with the loving care and Christian guidance that is so vital in early childhood. The most important lesson we want each student to know is that he or she is a unique and wonderful creation, made with a special purpose by God who loves them. This will be our main theme throughout each day as we present a developmentally appropriate curriculum where children explore the world, discover themselves and grow closer to God through Jesus.

What Makes Our School:

Philosophy:
A child’s growth is comprised of many dimensions: spiritual, emotional, physical, social and cognitive. We strive to provide developmentally appropriate experiences that allow each child to progress in these areas at his/her own rate and to enjoy feelings of success. This is best done through hands-on activities in learning centers.

Mission:
The purpose of the preschool is to extend the ministry of and help accomplish the purpose of First Baptist Georgetown by providing care, education, and development for each child enrolled to his/her greatest potential. Our goal is to have a program that allows children to grow and develop as Jesus did – “in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52)

Curriculum:
We use several resources including Wee Learn and Handwriting Without Tears. We also offer great enrichment classes. 

History:
Built on a Solid Foundation of Faith for 38 years and counting. First Baptist Georgetown Children’s Weekday Education has been a leader in early childhood education for well over 30 years in Georgetown. Responding to the needs of our community, our program has experienced growth and change throughout the years – in the number of students and staff, in program offerings and even in the names of our school. Through it all, our commitment to serving children has remained paramount. This time-honored responsibility, combined with our enthusiasm for providing fresh, new and innovative experiences for our students has made First Baptist Georgetown Children’s Weekday Education the premier choice in preschool education in our community. Since our doors first opened in 1977, there have been numerous changes – new locations, new names, new buildings, additional programs and additional space for considerably many more students than were served when we first began. What has remained as a constant throughout all of these years is our commitment to providing a Christ-centered, loving environment for our students by selecting and retaining the very best teachers, chosen not only for their excellent credentials and experience but particularly for their warm and nurturing spirit evident in the day-to-day interaction with the children for whom they care. Built on a solid foundation of faith that is rooted in the Word of God and inspired by His ever-present guidance, we look forward to continuing to serve the community by sharing the love of Christ with our precious young students and their families.
